Hall of Fame
Lifetime Achievement Award

The individual nominated should have made a positive impact on the City of Cohoes or the people of Cohoes over their lifetime.  Neighborhood deeds are as valid as individuals that impact the entire city.  This recognition is designed to honor those individuals that have made, or are making a difference in the City of Cohoes.  It is not necessarily designed to honor the outstanding businessperson or politician in the city.  It is designed more with the average citizen of Cohoes in mind.  However, no one is excluded.

Individuals nominated should have made a significant impact on the city of Cohoes, its people, or both.  Members of the Hall of Fame should be individuals with a positive attitude toward the City of Cohoes, demonstrate a willingness to put community before self, and be able to do this over an extended period of time.  A nominee does not need to be someone that is widely known, but there does need to be some method of verification of his or her deeds.  Deceased individuals as well as living members of our community are eligible.  All nominations will be given equal consideration.

All nominations should have appropriate documentation.  This will be in the form of a written essay.  This can be supplemented with verbal statements; published articles; photographs; diaries or other appropriate data.

The Caretakers Hall of Fame committee will make the final decision.  Their decision should not be looked upon as diminishing the work or importance of the other nominees.  Individuals may be nominated again in the future.

Officers of the Cohoes Caretakers are not eligible for nomination. To be considered, the essay portion must be completed. Individuals nominated for both the Hall of Fame and any other category will be considered first for the Hall of Fame.
